Ink Cartridges
Two types of black ink cartridges are available for the LX200 Label Printer: (1) dye-based black for printing on virtually all types of inkjet coated high-gloss and semi-gloss label and tag stocks, and (2) pigment-based black for printing on matte (uncoated) label and tag stock. Customer testing is highly recommended before purchasing a large amount of stock or ink cartridges.

Label Stock – Standard Sizes
Primera’s TuffCoat High-Gloss and Semi-Gloss Labels are the perfect match for LX-Series dye-based inks. Compatibility and performance are guaranteed. Standard sizes are usually available for immediate shipment. Labels for LX400 are 5" maximum O.D. on a 2" core with a .125" corner radius.

TuffCoat High-Gloss – smooth, bright white face sheet with permanent, general purpose adhesive. Excellent adhesion to cardboard, metals and most plastics. High-gloss finish is very abrasion resistant and highly water-resistant. Labels Specs.

TuffCoat Semi-Gloss – smooth face sheet with permanent general purpose adhesive. Excellent adhesion to cardboard, metals and most plastics. Some water resistance, excellent abrasion resistance. Label Specs.

TuffCoat Matte White Polyester – bright white matte finish with abrasion resistance. General purpose acrylic adhesive with excellent adhesion to glass, metals and most plastics. Please inquire about specific sizes available and current pricing. Label Specs.

TuffCoat Extreme™ White Polyester – bright white shiny finish with excellent water resistance. General purpose acrylic adhesive. Must use reduced saturation settings in LX-Series printer driver software. Label Specs.

TuffCoat Extreme™ Gloss Clear Polyester – optically clear shiny finish with excellent water resistance. General purpose acrylic adhesive. Must use reduced saturation settings in LX-Series printer driver software. Label Specs.

TuffCoat Tag – same top coat as TuffCoat High-Gloss but in a non-adhesive construction. Ideal for name and visitor badges.

Extended Warranty (US Customers Only)
Primera LX200 Label Printers are warranted for one-year parts and labor. An extended warranty is available for an additional one year period for a total of two years or for an additional two year period for a total of three years. Extended warranties must be purchased within 30 days of the printer's original invoice date.

Label Warranty Information
Primera’s TuffCoat High Gloss and Semi-Gloss label materials have been specifically designed to be highly absorbent to allow water-based inkjet inks to dry quickly. While providing for immediate smudge-resistance after printing, this characteristic also makes the sheet receptive to certain airborne contaminants and could result in a discoloration of unprinted areas. Proper testing in the final application environment is strongly recommended, especially when used on or near products with aromatic vapors or products containing volatile solvents.

As with all pressure sensitive materials, this product should be tested thoroughly under end-use conditions to ensure it meets the requirements of the specific application.

Warranty
All statements, technical information and recommendations about PRIMERA TUFF COAT LABEL products are based upon tests believed to be reliable but do not constitute a guarantee or warranty. All PRIMERA TUFF COAT LABEL products are sold with the understanding that PURCHASER has independently determined suitability of such products for its purposes. PRIMERA TUFF COAT LABEL products are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from date of shipment. Purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy for breach of this warranty shall be the replacement of the defective PRIMERA TUFF COAT LABEL products or, at PRIMERA’S option, the issuance of a credit or refund in an amount up to the purchase price of the defective product. In no event shall PRIMERA be responsible for claims beyond the purchase price of the defective product.

Primera shall not be held liable for the integrity and/or longevity of any text, photographic images, digitized images, graphics, bar codes, or combination thereof that are produced, generated, or otherwise transferred to substrates by the use of Primera’s hardware or software nor is Primera liable for the integrity, viability, or longevity of the data printed.
