BarTender 2016 was first released on November 11, 2015. 

BarTender 2016 Releases

BarTender 2016 R4 was released on July 6, 2017. Included in this release:

-Updated translations for the BarTender help system into French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. Newly translated help systems include:
	-Administration Console
	-Integration Builder
	-BarTender VB Script
	-Print Station*

-Documentation for the Print Scheduler Client API
-SQL Server Express 2005 will be replaced by SQL Server Express 2012
-The Print Portal App (for the Enterprise Automation Edition) now supports printing to Zebra LinkOS printers
	-Bluetooth printing to LinkOS printers on iOS
	-Real-time status monitoring of LinkOS printers during the printing process
-Bug fixes in response to customer feedback
-Performance enhancements
* The translated Print Station help cannot currently be opened from within Print Station. To access it, open BarTender help for your language, then browse to the Print Station help.

BarTender 2016 R3 was released on August 3, 2016. Included in this release:

- Database support for Firebird, MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Ability to add metadata to BarTender documents, viewable in both BarTender and Windows Explorer
- New duplicate options allow easy copy/pasting of selected objects
- New scaling options allow easy bulk modification of selected objects
- Better print performance when using Rich Text objects up to 20x faster rendering
- Support for selecting the encoding for IDoc files
- User interface language can now be set per user
- More options added for label and image export, such as quick export and the ability to set default export options
- New Integration Builder features, including new actions, new cloud storage support for Amazon S3 and Microsoft OneDrive, 
  as well as the ability to add attachments using the Send Email action
- Medical device compliance tools: HIBC 2D barcode and UDI sample label
- Bug fixes in response to customer feedback
- Performance enhancements

BarTender 2016 R2 was released on March 4, 2016. Included in this release:
- Integration Builder actions can now be executed conditionally
- Bug fixes in response to customer feedback
- Performance enhancements
